Hotly contested surfski race in Richards Bay

The course started in the Richards Bay harbour and included beaching at Newark and the Caravan Park

THE third race of the Kenart Autumn Surfski Series was sponsored by Vimba Alu-dor and was a doubles event that encouraged experienced paddlers to team up with novices.

The course started in the Richards Bay harbour and included beaching at Newark and the Caravan Park.

This made for a hotly contested and eventful race, as can be seen by the results.

Paddlers working hard during the race were Kevin Dicks, Grant Lawrie (far), Brian Smith, Brian Heathfield (middle) and Jacques Venter and Lindane Dube
