Third title for Hume

The young gun added this title to his National Enduro Championship

LOCAL enduro rider Calvin Hume claimed his third championship title for the 2016 season after winning the high school class at the last WFO Liquorland Enduro held over the weekend at Lions River.

The young gun added this title to his National Enduro Championship (high school class) and KZN Cross Country (high school class) crowns.

Hume not only won the high school class over the weekend, but placed fifth overall for the day in the 130km event.

‘Riders were challenged with a route plagued with hard track, mud hills full of rocks and many river crossings owing to the recent rains, which each rider had to complete four times,’ said dad Brett Hume.

‘Calvin is hoping to finish this year off on a high, aiming for a fifth place finish in the silver class at the Roof Of Africa race which will be held in the Lesotho mountains at the end of the month.’
