Thanda are ready for Tuks

Thanda look to trounce Tuks

HAVING been on the wrong side of a couple of debatable referee decisions in their 2-2 draw with Mthatha Bucks last time out, Thanda Royal Zulu are ready to rock and roll against Pretoria University on Sunday.

‘We don’t complain; we simply take it one game at a time,’ said Amabhubesi head coach Roger Sikhakhane.

‘It was a tough schedule – three games in eight days, with two of those away.

‘But we are now well rested and with six days to prepare for Sunday we will be up to our best.

‘I gave the boys the day off on Monday and now we are working hard.

‘We have a plan for each game and we will make sure of using our home ground advantage to get three more points against Tuks.’

Questioned on the reason for this season’s success and their unbeaten run to date, Roger says simplicity has been the key.

‘We play a free-flowing game, using every player according to his strengths and anyone who knows me is aware that fitness is my top priority.

‘Right now the rest are chasing us, which is great, but we must maintain the standard and stay focused and grounded.

‘We also need good crowd support so we hope to see the fans at the uMhlathuze Stadium in big numbers on Sunday.’

With no injuries or suspensions, Thanda will field their strongest combination. Kick-off is at 3.30pm.
