Rain fails to damper sporting event

The wet and slippery conditions added to the challenging routes

ATHLETES came out in the rain on Sunday to participate in the Zululand Multi Sports Club cross country series and Ngwenya mountain bike race.

The wet and slippery conditions added to the challenging routes set by the race organisers.

Sixty-two runners and 53 mountain bike riders had the luxury of choosing between a wide variety of distances.

All proceeds made on the day in the mountain bike section went towards various projects for Rotary Richards Bay.
