ZULULAND cage fighter Martin ‘The Diamond’ de Beer suffered his second career loss at EFC 54 on Saturday, going down in Sun City on a points decision to Adbul ‘Hollywood’ Hassan.
Durban-based fighter Hassan (Gorgeous Boyz Hardcore) racked up more points by pinning De Beer more times on the mat, but failing to make the Garage Boys fighter tap out during the three, five minute rounds.
‘Martin was exceptional in defence, counter-attacking Adbul’s every move,’ said coach Tienie de Beer.
‘Hassan was very good on the ground and got Martin into a few positions, but failed to make him submit.’
After this fight, De Beer’s record reads five wins, two losses and zero draws.
