Mbuyazi overcomes testing weather conditions

Participants followed an IPS format over 18 holes

GOLFER TAMI Mbuyazi had to go into amphibian mode at the Vintage golf day held at the Empangeni Country Club on Saturday.
Mbuyazi managed to adapt to the wet and testing conditions and carded 44 points to win the day.
The rain made the ball stick on the fairways, which decreased distance off the tee boxes.
Playing out the bunkers was tough, as the wet hard sand did not allow the club to get under the ball.
Participants followed an IPS format over 18 holes.
Empangeni’s Andy Ndlovu bagged 41 points to claim second spot, with MC Biyela rounding up the podium with 38 points.
All proceeds made on the day went towards the SAGES senior golf day, which will take place next year in May at the Empangeni Country Club.
