Lotriet dominates fishing competition

The next competition will be held on 9 October

RICHARDS Bay angler Juandré Lotriet had a field day at the 4th Rock and Surf Supper Pro League (RASSPL) competition held at Nomonyani and Intinyani on Sunday.

He not only won the entire competition with 539.40 points, but also landed the biggest fish and had three other catches rated among the top 10.

Lotriet landed a 2.78kg and 1.85kg catface rockcod, as well as a 1.48kg leopard moray eel, which bagged him more than R8 000 worth of prizes.

The popular competition is a catch and release event, fully supported by marine biologists and scientists.

Sponsors on board this year were Pure Fishing, RapalaSA, Ritchie Auto, Domino’s Pizza, Dirt Road Traders, Postnet Richards Bay and Non Edz.

The next competition will be held on 9 October with more than R30 000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
