GRANTLEIGH Schools made the trip to Heuwelland on Thursday afternoon to challenge the hosts in three soccer matches.
These were the first soccer fixtures for both schools this season.
In the first game, the U11 A Grantleigh boys posted a solid 1-0 win.
Heuwelland U13 A girls managed to bounce back from a 2-1 deficit at half time to claim a good 3-2 win.
The day’s action ended off with the U13 A boys game, which certainly did not disappoint.
Grantleigh snatched an early 1-0 lead after receiving a penalty after their striker was brought down in the box.
But Heuwelland bounced back and gelled, playing expansive football, putting players into gaps which resulted in a 3-1 win.
