The tough keep going

The rain continued for most of the morning, but the tough kept going.

WITH 52 riders finishing the 50km route and 194 the 25km, the third leg of the Bell Big 5 MTB Series proved tough with most riders admitting to a hard and difficult day out around the farmlands outside KwaMbonambi on Sunday.

But they need not blame the organisers of the Buildit Kwambo Lion Challenge for the conditions, they were brought on by much-needed rain.

After soaking rain throughout Saturday night, officials decided to continue with the race, but with the 50km riders doing the 25m route twice owing to very difficult conditions further out on the track.

The rain continued for most of the morning, but the tough kept going.

The series now moves to Monzi for the Monzi Hippo Challenge, which will be held on Sunday, 4 September.
