Hume still good for championship honours

Young enduro rider claims first place at national race

ZULULAND enduro rider Calvin Hume dropped a gear and squeezed the throttle to leave his competitors in the dust at the National Liquorland Enduor Series raced on Hluku farm in Harding last weekend.

Hume claimed first place in the 250cc Junior High School Class and finished 6th overall out of 96 riders.
Once again the track challenged the riders with technical off-camber slopes and steep downhills.

The dusty, dry conditions, loose rocks and rock step-ups challenged the riders to accelerate at various sections of the 28km track.

Riders had to complete five laps around the track within three hours.

Hume’s next race will be at the end of July in Boston outside Pietermaritzburg.
With a bag full of points, he aims to take the championship for 2016.
