Tough assignments ahead for Rhinos

Rhinos will take on Crusaders and Jaguars before ending the Fidelity Security Premier League season for 2016

RHINOS continued their winning ways in the bottom five competition of the Fidelity Security Premier League on Saturday, when they thrashed South Coast Warriors 52-31 in Uvongo.

This was the second weekend in a row that the local outfit managed to surpass the 50 mark, having drilled Newcastle Highlanders 67-27 at Mick Kelly Park last Saturday.
But despite these two comprehensive victories, Riaan Pienaar’s men still have to play Crusaders and Jaguars away from home.

Crusaders beat Rhinos 48-24 and Jaguars beat them 26-22 at Mick Kelly Park, with the Rhinos having home ground advantage.

Therefore if the men from Empangeni want to win the bottom five competition and bag a trophy for the club, they will have to step up their game and leave everything on the field.

In the earlier game played, Rhinos 2 went down to the host team 40-14.
Rhinos will travel to Durban North on Saturday to take on Crusaders and will then play Jaguars on Saturday, 9 July in Durban before ending the Fidelity Security Premier League season for 2016.
The local side will then compete in the Murray Cup which is a knock-out competition.
