COMPETING at her 20th SA Masters Championships at King’s Park at the weekend, local swimming legend Barbara Berridge made the trip back up the N2 with another six medals to add to her massive collection.
Competing against the nation’s best, the grand lady of the pool nailed one gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
Barbara took part in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke, the 4x50m freestyle medley, the 4x50m ladies medley and the 4x50m mixed medley events.
This follows her category gold medal win at the Fish Eagle 1 000 the previous weekend.
The 64-year-old Learn To Swim teacher has put back plenty into the sport and still competes as energetically as ever among her young protégés
