Local boxers pack a punch
Ten uThungulu boxers to represent KZN in Cape Town next week
YOUNG uThungulu boxers returned with a bagful of medals following their outstanding victories during the Youth and Junior Boxing Provincial Championships held in Ladysmith over the weekend.
They took top honours after defeating opponents from nine KZN districts, and received the Best District award.
Other top accolades received included the Best Female Boxer, Best Youth Boxer and Best Junior Boxer.
Winners will represent the province in Cape Town during the National Championships on 21 March.
Next week they will head to Ladysmith for a training camp, which will include physical preparation and sparring.
