King XI win by six

King Xi still unbeaten this season

KING XI continued in their winning ways when they beat eShowe in their uThungulu Second Division Cricket encounter on Saturday.

They won by six wickets.

Batting first eShowe scored 89 runs off their allotted 24 (8-ball) overs.

Ross Steenberg top scored for the home team with 12 runs, while the King XI bowlers created havoc with the ball.

The Cheema brothers, Moon and Usman took four and three wickets respectively.

Moon had the best figures for the King XI, conceding nine runs off five overs.

He also shone with the bat, putting 21 runs on the scoreboard.

Islam top scored for the King XI with 25 runs, before being caught.

For eShowe, Brian Carpenter took two wickets for 17 off three overs.

Other wickets went to Mike Abraham and Alex van Wyk who took one each.
