Motzouris takes US championship title

Empangeni's Tyron Motzouris was crowned U.S Champion at the U.S IJSBA National Champs.

Empangeni's Tyron Motzouris, chuffed with his victory on US soil

ZULULAND’s professional jetski rider Tyron Motzouris claimed the Pro Ski GP title at the US IJSBA National Championships held at Cocoa Beach in Florida over the weekend.

The popular event attracted 300 top racers from around the US and Canada.

Motzouris was crowned the US National Champion after winning the Pro Ski GP category on a K1 hull built at Z-Craft Empangeni, which was shipped to the US for the event.

Canadian Mike Klippenstien sped his way into second, with American Jimmy Wilson taking home the bronze medal.

Motzouris showed off his class, winning race one and three and claiming a second spot in race two to hand him the overall victory.
