Winter sports action heats up

HEUWELLAND sent their U7 to U9 sports teams to Grantham Park Primary School (GPPS) on Tuesday to compete in winter sports.

Owing to the water shortage, which resulted in dry, hard and dangerous fields, all rugby fixtures were cancelled for the safety of the children.

The U11 to U13 teams compete today (Thursday) in hockey and netball at GPPS.

Out of the five fixtures played on the day, the host school managed to win three of the games.
