Fourie’s a jolly good cricketer

Francois Fourie needs aid to represent his country at the Indoor Cricket Junior World Series in Brisbane.

LOCAL indoor cricketer Francois Fourie smashed his way into the South African U16 team that will compete at the Indoor Cricket Junior World Series in Brisbane, Australia later this year.

This is the third time that the talented 14-year-old has been selected to represent his country, after previously also gaining selection for the U11 and U13 sides.

The Bay lad has been playing indoor cricket since the age of 9 and has represented KZN North at all age group levels.

Francois will be going on an inland cricket tour, representing ICSA U15 in Pretoria from 26 June to 4 July.

He will then leave for Australia on 20 September.
