uThungulu dominate in Durban

RH Construction uThungulu claimed a 7 wicket victory over Chatsworth Sporting.

RH CONSTRUCTION uThungulu had a fantastic outing in Durban over the weekend, when they picked up a bonus point victory over Chatsworth Sporting in a Castle Premier League clash played at DHS Rhythm.

Standout performances on the day came from Otto Rode who knocked a well played 61 and spinner Stephan Joubert who picked up a fiver.

The home side padded up and headed out to the middle to take guard first, with the overs being reduced to 43 owing to the rainy weather.

Chatsworth managed 131 all out, after Joubert ripped through the batting line-up, ending with figures of 5/23 in 8.5 overs.

With rain on and off, uThungulu claimed the win after reaching 114/3 in the 19th over.

Rode smashed 61, Joubert 25 and Gary Park 7 not out.

The local lads picked up a comfortable seven wicket victory.

RH Construction uThungulu remain in third spot on the log, and will take on table toppers, Crusaders away on Sunday in their next fixture.
