AFTER the crowd had left, the dust had settled and the announcer had his say, it was a double title win for the two Garage Boys at the Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) Fight Night at Sibiya Casino on Sunday evening.
Local cage fighters Piesang van Huizen and Martin de Beer both came back to Empangeni with a title belt around their waist, after causing damage in the ring.
Piesang beat Radley de Vries in the second round, after De Vries tapped out from a ring neck choke, to claim the MFC Bantamweight title.
De Beer put his MFC Featherweight title on the line, when he met Jesse Flemming in the main event of the night.
Martin was successful, when he won through a technical knockout in the second round.
De Beer will now turn professional and join the Extreme fighting Championships (EFC) league after having huge success at amateur level.
