Heuwelland retain hockey crown

Heuwelland Primary School successfully defend their title.

SIX local primary schools sent their first team (U13 A) hockey girls to Addison Park, Empangeni on Friday afternoon to participate in the second annual Tiger Wheel and Tyre Junior Open Girls’ Hockey Tournament.

After a feast of goals and great hockey skills and talent on display, it was Heuwelland Primary School who managed to successfully defend their crown and reclaim the title after playing some sensational hockey.

The tournament, which was hosted by Felixton College, saw teams compete in a round robin system, collecting three points for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss.

The team with the most points was declared the overall winner of the tournament.

  1. Daar was ‘n foto in die sports blad (bl.21) met die onderskrif: “Grantleigh’s Nicole Anderson (right)…. EHS Shoot through to regional finals” Ek kry egter nie die foto in “gallarries” nie. Kan julle dit vir my groot asseblief aanstuur.
