uMhlathuze Athleitcs Club runners and walkers performed at SA Masters recently
THE saying running is the food to my sole proved true for three uMhlathuze Athletics Club (Crocs) members, after claiming podium finishes at the recent SA Masters Athletics Championships in Rustenburg.
Nomcebo Mthethwa blew everybody away with her performances, claiming three gold
medals and setting a qualifying national time in the 800m event.
Mthethwa completed the 10 000m in 41:39, 5 000m in 20:06 and 800m in 2:37.
Yvonne Irmscher (walker) claimed gold in the 10 000m with a time of 58:53 and silver in the 5 000m race with a time of 28:40.
Lancelot Sibiya (runner) claimed bronze in the 10 000m with a time of 43 minutes and completed the 5 000m in 23 minutes.
