Come out and learn how to paddle at the ZKC on Saturday mornings

ADVENTUROUS, water loving people came out in the sunshine on Saturday morning to cool off while learning to paddle at the Zululand Kayak Club (ZKC).

Beginners were taught the ropes of paddling on a surfski by ZKC surfski officer Johnny Stander.

They were taught the basic fundamentals on dry land first before entering the water to have a splash.

The Level 1 class saw the newbies strutting their new skills up and down between the steel bridge and ZKC Club.

The purpose of these classes was to introduce the sport to the public, with hopes of increasing club membership.

These free classes will continue for the next three Saturdays at the ZKC Club, starting at 8.30am.

Level 1 classes run from 8.30am to 9.30 am, followed by Level 2 and 3 classes from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Anyone interested to join or wants further information can contact Johnny on 081 4369806.

Space is limited so the first come, first serve principal applies.
