Golf manoeuvres in the dark

Danie van Vuuren and Tony Laurens claimed a 31 point victory at the inaugural night golf competition

FIFTY-FOUR golfers came out in the dark on Friday evening for the Richards Bay Rugby Club’s inaugural Night Golf competition which saw Danie van Vuuren and Tony Laurens claim victory with 31 points.

Players took to the dark following a Scramble Drive format on the club’s rugby fields, which proved challenging.

But it was great to see so many people coming out, which needed a spade and rake to play on.

‘This is our inaugural event that we would like to make annual. Thank you to all the sponsors and golfers for coming out and supporting our event. The competition was great and a huge success,’ said Richards Bay Rugby Club President Jan Joubert.
