Glow in the dark golf

Night shift golfers Kevin Rudolph and Clinton Woodley eased their way to victory at Felixton Country Clubs night golf

UNSUSPECTING visitors to the Felixton Country Club on Friday evening must have thought the golf course was being invaded by Navy Seals out on a mission to seek and destroy some terrorists who have infiltrated Zululand.

They were met by the sight on men manoeuvring about with night vision type apparel and torches, brandishing strange looking weaponry.

They soon learnt, however, that is was merely 32 harmless golfers finding their way in the 9-hole Night Golf competition.

Players followed a Scramble Drive format which made proceedings challenging.

The night shift of Kevin Rudolph and Clinton Woodley eased through their round to claim the victory after playing some blinding shots throughout their round.

This is a fun event where non-golfers can enjoy the evening owing to the format being played.

‘The funds raised will be put towards improving the club’s facilities,’ said Felixton Country Club Chairman Wayne Mathias.
