What a heart-warming story in the ZO Weekender edition about a group of friends who stand in support of their friend after he recently lost his father to cancer.
Often pupils grapple with many issues in life and the support base around them is crucial.
While family support is necessary, friends, teachers, youth leaders and counsellors also play an important role in guiding, helping and steering children in the right direction.
But when pupils come together in this manner, it certainly does give us hope for the future that when the youth face the biggest hurdles in life, even their peers will lift them up.
I salute these young leaders.
