Making mountains out of mole hills

The speed humps now placed on the John Ross Highway entering Meerensee are ridiculously high

I AM totally against speeding and if I could, I would have made the legal limit a solid 60km/h because of the high death toll on the roads and people left with debilitating injuries after serious accidents.

But I must say the speed humps now placed on the John Ross Highway entering Meerensee are ridiculously high.
Instead of regulating the flow of the traffic, it often causes a standstill.

Yesterday a tragic event in Meerensee left me with the question as to how the height of the bumps affects the speed with which emergency services such as the ambulance or fire brigade can attend to the scene.

The Flying Squad will literally go flying over the obstacles if they have to respond to a crime in progress.

The speed humps, or rather bumps, have been a topic of many conversations since their construction.

Lower, less damaging humps would have served the purpose perfectly.

This is a real case of making a mountain out of a mole hill.
