I unfortunately abused my wife many, many years ago and I am sorry for my wayward, insensitive actions.
Yes, I told her so.
Although I grew up in a home where abuse was a daily occurrence, I do not wish to hide behind these disgusting childhood happenings that I could not do anything about.
The lady I married bordered on sainthood and was an excellent mother to our brood. We both toiled hard and all the kids are highly successful.
But behind closed doors, there was enmity and abuse.
Many years have come and gone and I am still extremely ashamed of my wrongdoing.
I know there are emotional scars, but please forgive me.
Ladies, on behalf of us men, I plead that you forgive us and tell us so, that we may all live in peace in the years ahead.
