Police must keep up the good work

I and my family feel so much safer and it is good to hear that the police are doing what they are paid to do

THE reference to this letter is the story ‘Cops on a mission’ (ZO, 2 September).

I live in eSikhaleni and I am so happy that the SAPS are visible and at work in our suburb.

I and my family feel so much safer and it is good to hear that the police are doing what they are paid to do.

Many illegal things such as robbery and hijacking, not to mention murder, happen in our township.

A lot has to do with the high rate of unemployment – idle hands are the devil’s workshop!

I see the police are saying they want to ‘ensure we live in a society with less crime’.

This can only be achieved if they continue with roadblocks and surprise raids. So please keep up the good work and don’t only do this in eSikhaleni, but in all the suburbs of uMhlathuze – please!
