IT has been so rewarding to watch the repair of Alkantstrand taking place over the past several months.
Our entire family has grown up on that beach, and to see it disappear was very unpleasant.
I must admit I feared it would be left to ruin.
Imagine my surprise when the problem was so effectively solved.
I was delighted to see the powers that be step in and step up to protect and repair this essential tourism and family destination.
I look forward to ensuring that my grandchildren create as many happy memories at this place as my children did during their youth.
