Seeing red over roaming cows

Take the grass to the cows, instead of the cows coming to the grass

ENOUGH is enough!

This problem with cows roaming all over the place has been going on for far too long.

From strolling along the John Ross Parkway and main roads leading into the Richards Bay CBD and in Alton, they are now literally on our front lawns.

While so many reports have been seen in the newspaper about roaming cows in the industrial and residential areas and the hazard they pose, nothing much has been done to deter them and the problem persists.

The municipality must really look at more proactive and innovative ways to deal with this issue. One suggestion is to take the grass to the cows instead of the cows coming to the grass.

What happens to all the grass that the municipality cuts? Instead of leaving it behind or taking it to be dumped elsewhere, it can be taken to communities for their cattle.

We have young children playing in the suburbs and it will be such a sad thing if a little one is accidentally harmed by these animals, or they are the cause of a vehicle collision.
