Traffic was brought to a standstill on the John Ross highway outside Meerensee this morning (Thursday) owing to a serious accident.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, one coming to a rest on its roof, which occurred mid-morning at the Medway intersection.
MedCare 24 EMS attended the accident scene, their paramedics stabilising the five injured occupants before transporting them to various medical facilities for further care.
One was taken to Ngwelezana Hospital, while the other four were transported to Melomed Richards Bay.
