Man accused of strangling his lover to death in a rented room in Mtubatuba

The Mtubatuba man who was denied bail after being arrested for murdering his lover will remain in custody while waiting to appear at
the regional court, where the matter has been transferred.

Sibusiso Nyawo made his last appearance at KwaMsane Magistrate’s Court on 11 October for the alleged strangulation of a woman with whom it is believed he was in a relationship.

He will remain in custody until 23 October when the regional court is expected to set the date for his trial.

Nyawo is accused of strangling his lover to death on 15 August in a rented room at eNkodibe, Mtubatuba.

Nyawo was formally charged after a post mortem confirmed his late lover died by strangulation.
