KwaDukuza mayor’s ANC membership suspended

KWADUKUZA Mayor Lindi Nhaca has been ordered to stay at home and barred from attending any ANC meeting, including scheduled caucus meetings.

This after the party suspended her membership, with an investigation into her behaviour under way.

ANC Provincial Secretary Bhekingozi Mtolo explained that Nhaca is not allowed to attend KwaDukuza Council meetings as an ANC public representative.

“She is also not allowed to call any community meeting as an ANC public representative. The suspension is based on her public display of defiance of ANC decisions. There are disciplinary processes under way, and there is clear evidence that her ensuing behaviour will compromise these processes.

Mtolo said the party will soon convene community meetings and ensure ANC deployees across all levels strengthen service delivery for the benefit of residents.
