Minister of Employment and Labour Nomakhosazana Meth warns public about Facebook scammer

An unscrupulous fraudster is reportedly using a government minister’s identity online to scam people by ‘selling’ investments.

Minister of Employment and Labour Nomakhosazana Meth has warned the public that the Facebook scammer is using her identity to solicit funds from unsuspecting users.

Meth received a tip-off about the incident, which she subsequently reported to the police for investigation.

“A case of fraud and identity theft is under investigation. I will never ask members of the public to send their money to me for any reason. I distance myself of this unknown user,” she said.

She urged those who have fallen victim to the scam to report the matter to their nearest police station.
