Zululand’s Got Talent, ‘Just Julie’ and Tara Blake to rock Dolosfees

ZULULAND’S Got Talent, the talent show that gives local singers a chance to show off their chords and put on a show, will once again set the Dolosfees stage ablaze.

Auditions for this year’s contest took place at Dros at the Tuzi Gazi Waterfront in July. Five finalists were chosen and will be judged on their performances at the long-awaited Dolosfees at 5pm on Friday, 27 September, and at 1.30pm on Saturday, 28 September.

Local singer ‘Just Julie’ will take to the stage right after the final Zululand’s Got Talent performances on the Saturday. Julie has a love for entertaining and singing for people, and a wonderful stage presence. She enjoys 60s to 80s rock and roll, as well as Afrikaans music, and hopes that by singing at Dolosfees, doors will open for her and allow her to enhance her career.

After Julie’s performance, Dolosfees visitors can look forward to an awe-inspiring performance by Tara Blake – music teacher and musician from the Dolphin Coast. Song writing is a personal process for her and she demonstrates her emotive pieces through a mix of contemporary, light jazz and classical music on the violin.

In addition to great musical talent, Dolosfees is also home to other fun events and activities. Also taking place on Saturday, 28 September are free surf lessons, the annual Miss Dolosfees pageant, one of KZN’s biggest skateboarding competitions, and plenty more entertainment for the whole family.
