Entertainment galore at Richards Bay Festival

Another fun-filled family day is on the cards for this Saturday, 31 August at Richards Bay Rugby Club

The second annual Richards Bay Festival is just around the corner, with plenty of fun activities, entertainment and, of course, market stalls galore lined up.

After the immense community support of last year’s event, another fun-filled family day is on the cards for this Saturday,
31 August at Richards Bay Rugby Club.

Gates will open at 10am and the festival will run until 9pm, with tickets on sale at the gate.

Adults pay R50, while children under 13 will get in for R20. Parking is free.

Once through the gates, the little ones can be entertained by a magician and balloon artists, explore the jumping castle park (accompanied by an adult) or enjoy a pony ride (between 10am and 4pm), all at no extra cost. Also available will be face painting and a 5D cinema.

Friendly Fire Entertainment will, in the evening, wow the crowd with their fire dancing skills.

Hashtag Let’s Travel Adventures brings paint ball target shooting, with much fun for all ages and all safety requirements taken care of.

MC and DJ for the day is CJ from United Event DJs, who is looking forward to creating a festive atmosphere, while the Human Saxophone, who appeared on SA’s Got Talent in 2017, will showcase his unique talent.

Don’t miss Daniel Wesley Africa, on stage from 7pm to 8.30pm, who will entertain with a range of songs across all genres.

Singers Adelei-Jade and Hennie also join the entertainment line-up for the day.

For the foodies out there, let your taste buds travel the globe – Thai, Moroccan, Indian or Chinese cuisine will be available, as will pizza, burgers and the humble spud, offered in a multitude of ways.

There will also be biltong, spices and sauces galore.

The coffee lovers and sweet-toothed visitors are also covered, with the delicious line-up to include pancakes, cakes, cookies, fudge and much more.

With 170+ vendors from all over KZN, market-goers will be spoilt for choice, with products ranging from beautiful hand crafts, leather bags and shoes, to clothes, jewellery, plants, perfumes and everything in between.

A cash bar offering craft beers and gin on tap will also be available.
