Murder motive remains a mystery

The motive behind the murder of a 40 year old man gunned down in his vehicle in Meerensee on Women’s Day is still unknown.

The deceased, Sipho Zwelethemba was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead at the scene in the early hours of last Friday.

The shooting unfolded along Bayview Boulevard, near the SPCA after 3am.

The victim’s passenger was not wounded.

It was reported that the occupants were coming from a night out at the waterfront when occupants in an known vehicle opened fire on them.

Police are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
