Temporary lane closures on N2

Motorists advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time

MOTORISTS who regularly use the N2 should brace themselves for delays near eNseleni from Tuesday, 13 August to Friday, 16 August.

As part of ongoing infrastructure maintenance, the South African National Road Agency says the jacking of the bridge deck including refurbishment work will take place on the N2 on the Nseleni River Bridge.

“As part of the deck jacking process, temporary lane closures with stop-and-go control will be implemented,” said Sanral Eastern Region project manager Serisha Sukraj.

Sukraj further advised motorists to plan their routes accordingly and allow extra travel time, especially when accessing airport hubs.

“We further appeal to road users to adhere to the road signs and speed limit when approaching and travelling through the construction site. Sanral apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and asks for your understanding as they work to maintain their infrastructure assets. This is a temporary inconvenience,” said Sukraj.
