More N2 road closures ahead

Temporary road closures on the N2 are set to persist amid ongoing infrastructure maintenance on the Nseleni River Bridge.

The southbound lane will be closed on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday next week while the northbound lane will be closed on Tuesday.

These lanes will be closed between 9am and 2pm.

The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) said this is to allow for jacking of the bridge deck.

“We further appeal to road users to adhere to the road signs and speed limit when approaching and travelling through the construction site,” said Sanral Eastern Region project manager Serisha Sukraj.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time.
