Woman charged with murder after stabbing victim multiple times

A KwaDukuza woman (38) was arrested shortly after stabbing her victim to death in front of witnesses.

The incident occurred in the Shayamoya area outside KwaDukuza on Thursday.

According to Captain Alex Thomson, spokesperson for ILembe SAPS Cluster, the suspect and the victim got into an altercation, which led to the suspect pulling out a knife and fatally stabbing the victim multiple times on her upper body.

“The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics, and the suspect was identified by several [people] who had witnessed the altercation and murder. The suspect was arrested and charged with murder. The motive for the murder is still unknown at this stage,” said Thompson.
