Mixed reaction to KZN premier’s changes

Newly-elected KZN Premier Thami Ntuli is putting himself under immense pressure by placing the Department of Community Safety and Liaison under his office.

This was the view of political analyst Dr Maxwell Shamase shortly after the premier announced his cabinet on Tuesday.

Ntuli promised to prioritise the fight against crime and bring stability to the province, and placed the department under the Office of the Premier for that reason.
