With the national Easter weekend road carnage statistics are yet to be officially released, emergency services in King Cetshwayo responded to a number of accidents this past long weekend.
KZN EMS (Emergency Medical Services) recorded 22 accidents and injured patients across the district, and a total of four fatalities.
While the number of road accidents was lower compared with last year’s 29 Easter holiday accidents, the number of people who lost their lives last weekend was slightly higher than in 2023, where one person was killed.
