Deep win for pothole hunters

Be part of positive change and join 'The Hole Truth' ZO pothole campaign

VICTORY belongs to the devoted pothole hunters of Zululand, with a record-breaking seven craters having been repaired in recent weeks.

Residents will no longer be subjected to seeing the ‘die-hard’ Kerk Street pothole opposite Hollywoodbets in Empangeni.

In addition, Hibiscus Road, Frank Bull Road, Freesia Drive, Edwin Aldrin Road, Moth Street and Davies Crescent have been repaired for the most part.

The offenders’ list might be getting shorter, but potholes on McDivitt Avenue, Link Road, Cedar Street, Kelly Road, Anthony Crescent, President Swart Avenue, Eland Crescent and the corner of Kelly and Pretorius roads live to fight another day.

This is all thanks to public participation in the ZO’s ‘The Hole Truth’ campaign, drawing attention to the region’s potholes in a drive for safer roads.

This call-to-action initiative aims to bridge the gap between residents and the municipality.

Over the last six months, there has been a unique collaboration and mutual respect formed between the two.
