Team KZN dominates Clash of the Choirs

KZN’s Team Ntencane is flying the province’s flag high at the Clash of the Choirs SA, where they continue to dominate.

The choristers on Sunday delivered another killer performance, with Beyonce’s hit Love on Top at the Mzansi Magic talent show.

The week’s challenge was a vocal showdown, and their performance brought the audience and judges to their feet, marking another momentous win for Team KZN in a competition that has now been whittled down to three choirs performing next Sunday.

Moved by their performance, Dr Tumi said it was ‘first class stuff’.

“If this was the last day, you would have walked away with the title. That was absolutely amazing,” he said.

Zwai Bala also praised their arrangement, suggesting it should be used as a teaching example, while an emotional Buhlebendalo added ‘it was just perfect’.

Team KZN includes Zululand singer and actress Ntandoyenkosi Bhengu, known for her role and outstanding performance in theatre production FACES: A woman with emotional scars.

The play received a standing ovation at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown earlier this year.
