Close call for the mamba Rambo

"I was about 35 to 40cm away from it and would have had no chance of avoiding a bite to the face..."

Going up ‘blind’ and vulnerable to a deadly black mamba just a few centimetres from one’s face is not everyone’s idea of fun, but it does supply enough adrenalin to get the job done.

Once again, intrepid Richards Bay snake catcher Peter ‘Daring’ Daniel accepted the challenge when he was called out on Monday to assist with a problem at Nkwaleni.
