WATCH: Spring tides pound Bay coastline

Huge spring tide breakers continued to batter the Alkantstrand shoreline on Monday afternoon.

The geobag barrier took a beating as strong waves hit the coastline from 4.30pm.

This follows a recent warning by the NSRI of two high and two low spring tides.

Bathers, hikers and anglers have been urged to be vigilant and adopt a safety mindset at all times.
