Close call as uMhlathuze councillor survives shooting

An uMhlathuze Ward 13 councillor narrowly escaped death when a gunman opened fire on his car on Thursday night.

Cllr Lindokuhle Ndlovu (40) of Mpembeni Reserve outside Esikhaleni was driving back home in the evening when he came across a man lying in the middle of the road.

As he stopped to assist, the shooter fired at him from a car that was tailing him.
