Talent Africa coming to Richards Bay

The stage is open to entrants aged three years to over 40

If you think you can dance, sing, act, model or play an instrument, the Talent Africa Regional event is where you need to be.

The event is set to take place at John Ross College in Richards Bay on 10 June.

Passionate about the performing arts, Talent Africa hosts regional events across the country to search for performers and create a fun platform for them to make friends and learn about the performing arts.

Regional event co-ordinator Lizelle Survelo is gearing up for the Richards Bay leg, which hopes to attract hundreds of contestants who will showcase their talents in dance, singing, acting, instruments and Eisteddfod.

With the stage open to entrants aged three years to over 40, the stage is not too big for the novice performer or too small for the aspiring professional.

Judging criteria for all talents is stage presence, technique, style, overall impression and originality.

The aim is to refine talent and performers who will have to compete against tough competition firstly on a provincial level, and then on a national level, with the final event being an international competition.

Performers will be subject to strict judging by professionals in each form of the performing arts.

Entries close on 5 June. For more information, contact Lizelle on 082 9623556 or email pr@talentafrica.co.za
