Minor injuries in Empangeni crash, traffic light obstructs road

One person sustained minor injuries in an accident that brought down a traffic light in Empangeni last night (Wednesday).

The incident occurred just after 9pm at the Central Park intersection.

While the street light lay across three lanes until rush hour this morning, it has since been removed and is no longer obstructing the road.

Mounties EMS was on scene, and treated the injured motorist before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.
