ONE person was killed and three, including two children, were injured after the vehicle in which they were travelling slammed into the back of a truck earlier this morning (Friday).
The accident occurred on the N2 near eNyoni on the north-bound carriageway.

“The truck [driver], [initially] unaware of the accident, continued driving but returned to the scene a short while later,” said IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Samantha Meyrick.
IPSS paramedics attended to the passengers, which included a seriously injured front passenger and two children, aged 12 and 2, who sustained moderate injuries.
The driver sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
After stabilising them on scene, IPSS Medical transported the injured to hospital for further treatment.
